As the below spreadsheet documents, Fitzwilliam’s income per resident is only 2% higher than the school district average, and yet Fitzwilliam currently pays 23% more resident into the district. If article 8 passes, Fitzwilliam will pay 45% more than the average. The spreadsheet shows that the state-wide average district is funded 72% based on admission, 28% based on property value, which is a further indication that our current 75/25 formula is more fair than the change that article 8 proposes.
